OSC Recognized with 2017 OSA Gold Club Excellence Award

The Oakville Soccer Club is proud to announce that it has been awarded the 2017 Ontario Soccer Association Gold Club Excellence Award. The award, presented on a two-year cycle, recognizes those that have met the standards for excellence among member Clubs within the province.

The OSA's Club Excellence Award program was established in 2007 and has grown into an acclaimed, province-wide recognition program for effectively-run community-based soccer clubs, which offer safe, healthy and enjoyable environments for all involved.

The Award is made up of criteria at three different levels (Bronze, Silver and Gold). Community Clubs that are able to achieve any level of the Club Excellence Award have provided tangible evidence of the required criteria to the OSA, which is carefully reviewed and evaluated. While technical components have been added to the list of criteria in 2016 the main focus lies on good governance and effective community soccer administration.

In response to OSC receiving the Gold OSA Club Excellence Award, OSC’s Executive Director Dave Harris said, “We are extremely proud to receive this prestigious award. It is a credit to the Club’s volunteers, Board of Directors and staff who, collectively, ensure that the Club is meeting the expectations of its membership each and every day. This is an award that shows we are amongst the very best in the province. OSC congratulates all other OSA member Clubs who have received the Gold, Silver and Bronze Award for their collective efforts”.
