Oakville Wild's U14C Team Takes Top Spot at Ancaster Tournament

Hot on the heels of their second place finish at the HEADS Up! Cup Tournament the weekend before, the boys took the pitch at the Ancaster Heritage Days Tournament on June 2 & 3 to defend their championship title from 2017.

The team topped their group in the group stage with a 6-0 win against Mount Hamilton, a 0-0 draw against the Weston Wolves and a 4-0 victory against Niagara Falls.

In an extremely well played semi-final game, the Wild defeated FEDS United 3-0 and booked their ticket to the finals.

Up against Niagara Falls in the championship match, OSC stepped onto the field in the rain and asserted themselves quickly, establishing a lead just six minutes into the game. Up against a tough defence, the boys continued to play with determination and were able to score another goal with three minutes left on the clock. When the final whistle blew, the Oakville Wild celebrated their 2-0 win and proudly held onto their spots as tournament champions for the second year in a row.

Congratulations to all players, coaches, team officials and parents on an incredible showing at the Ancaster Heritage Days Tournament!

Well done, boys!
