The Oakville Soccer Club is pleased to recognize Steven Lang in our November Volunteer Spotlight.
Steven started his OSC involvement as a referee in June 2013. After receiving what he refers to as ‘a tremendous amount of support’ from OSC, Stephen wanted to show his appreciation by giving back and decided to start volunteering his time as a coach and convenor. “OSC is a great place to be. It’s fun, energetic and a great organization to be a part of,” says Steven of his experience with OSC. Steven did fantastic work during the fall and has signed on to continue volunteering as a coach and convenor through the Winter season.
Recently Steven decided to go back to school and pursue his dream of becoming a Canadian Boarder Service Agency officer. He is currently enrolled at Fanshawe College in Woodstock, ON, in an accelerated Police Foundations program. In addition to being a student and volunteering with OSC, Steven also lends his time and talents to a homeless shelter in Woodstock, Habitat for Humanity, and several community based events and initiatives.
Thank you, Steven for your hard work and dedication! We are proud to have you as part of our OSC team!
