OSC Receives OSA 2012 Gold Club Excellence Award

Oakville Soccer Club is honoured to receive a 2012 Gold Standard Club Excellence Award from the Ontario Soccer Association.

Every two years, the OSA presents the Club Excellence Awards at the Gold, Silver and Bronze levels to community soccer clubs that have demonstrated the ability to meet the OSA’s standard of club excellence.

Twenty-nine clubs achieved the varying levels of OSA Club Excellence in 2012 by “compiling, improving and ratifying their policies, procedures and practices to meet the standards set within the award” according to the OSA. Six clubs, including OSC, were awarded the Gold Standard, the highest level in the Club Excellence Awards.

This year, the OSA gave special thanks to all the community clubs for their ongoing commitment to the Long Term Player Development framework.

Paul Varian, CAO of Oakville Soccer Club, was honoured to accept the award on the club’s behalf at the recent OSA Awards Banquet in Toronto.

“Oakville Soccer Club is thrilled to maintain its Gold Standard OSA Club Excellence Award for 2012,” said Varian. “At OSC, we are always striving to lead by example and provide the best possible programs to our membership. This honour further illustrates our commitment to our mandate of ‘advancing every player’ and enriching the lives of each of our members through soccer.”
