As a result of the Club’s continued growth and evolution, Oakville Soccer Club is inviting applications for the position of Technical Director.
In this senior leadership role, you will have the opportunity to lead the development of one of the largest club-based youth sport systems in North America and truly make your mark on the development of soccer in Canada.
Armed with a heavily supported and highly acclaimed Technical Development Plan, a state-of-the-art 100,000ft2 indoor soccer complex in North Oakville, a staff of almost 30 well-qualified professional coaches, and a substantial technical budget, you will lead the technical development of all of the Club’s 12,700 players to help them be the best they can be.
Building on the Club’s sizable development programs and youth House League, you will also be responsible for the development of the club’s approximate 900 coaches and 350 referees.
You are a strong leader with a passionate belief in the value soccer brings to the development of people of all ages, but particularly youth. You are a proponent of both male and female soccer and you have experience building successful youth development systems in the game, ideally in Canada. You hold national level coaching qualifications and have a full working knowledge of what is needed to develop a player to the highest levels of the game.
You are an executor, who understands and believes in the long term technical direction that is being undertaken by Oakville Soccer Club. You are passionate to make the club’s technical plans and long term ambition a reality and raise the bar what Canadian club soccer can achieve.
You understand the role of coach education in the development of players and have experience developing such programs. You can lead and unify coaches, from experienced and highly qualified professionals, to volunteer rookies.
You excel in communication with multiple stakeholders, particularly players’ parents and guardians, and you can articulate the club’s technical vision, and achieve buy-in from non-technical people.
If this is you, Oakville Soccer Club wants to hear from you. This is an unmissable opportunity to apply your leadership and technical skills for the betterment of thousands of young people every year in a thriving community that has a passion for soccer. An attractive salary and benefits package awaits the successful candidate.
