From U11 to U18, OSC’s Rep players are guided through a well-established training curriculum led by one of the largest professional coaching staffs in Canada. OSC offers year-round skills training geared toward each group. The curriculum features a minimum of two training sessions per week in addition to a regular match schedule in the summer.
The Rep program focuses on the club’s top 360 players per gender. Teams at each level train together throughout the fall and winter, and in the spring the A, B and C squads are determined. Players can be called up to squads as their development dictates. Tryouts for the Rep program are held in the fall.
One age group head coach (per gender) is responsible for coaching the Rep A teams. They are also responsible for direct management of the age group’s Rep coaching staff from levels A to C. These coaches act as mentors to other coaches and offer one-on-one support with regard to ongoing coach education. Age Group Head Coaches have a minimum Pre-B coaching license (with a commitment to attaining a Provincial B license within 12 months).
U11 teams will participate in the Peel Halton Development League (PHDL) and U12 – U18 teams will participate in the SRSL and OYSL.
PHDL: U11 teams play 9v9, two 30 minute halves, and one game per match day. In the PHDL there is no team relegation or promotion. The Technical Director will assess teams and determine their appropriate division.
SRSL: U12 – U18 teams will compete in the South Region Soccer League, when applicable. The league schedule is determined by the SRSL, and there is promotion and relegation system based on league standings.
OYSL: U14 – U18 teams will compete in the Ontario Youth Soccer League, when applicable. The league schedule is determined by the OYSL, and there is promotion and relegation system based on league standings.
