This program is open to all 2010 registered House League players from U7 (2004) - U12 (1999) or players new to Oakville who are interested in additional training under the guidance of an OSC Technical Coaching Staff.
Players are accepted into the program on a sign-up basis, there are no tryouts. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Sessions will be held at the Pine Glen indoor Facility.
Throughout the program players are identified and tiered in accordance to their ability level. Players/parents should expect a certain amount of “player movement” as players move from group to group as the coaches attempt to place players in groups of similar ability. It is our goal to place players in a safe, learning, fun yet challenging environment so that the players can enjoy the game while learning new skills and techniques.
Under the direction of our Technical Staff our goals are to:
- Introduce the fundamentals required to play soccer.
- Develop skilled, confident and creative players.
- Make the game fun to practice and play.
- Teach good sportsmanship and respect for all.
We believe that team systems and tactics are important but they cannot fully compensate for poor control, inaccurate passing or other technical weaknesses. Ultimately team organization is only as effective as the individual players in it.
Training sessions will be once per week per age group; the schedule is as follows:
