Please ensure that your game sheets are correctly filled out before Handing them in to the Club. We have a number of situations where the game sheet information is unclear and there has been confusion over the final score. |

Mini Soccer – Passback to Keeper
In response to a number of questions from Coaches and Parents we would like to clarify this rule as it applies to our U9 and U10 age groups.
Passbacks are allowed at this level. Should a passback occur please use the following procedure:
1. Blow whistle to stop play.
2. Call both the keeper and offending player over and explain that this is not allowed.
3. Allow play to continue with the keeper clearing the ball.
The OSA has confirmed that for 9/10 year olds it is more important to keep the game flowing than to enforce a rule that could cause hold ups.
Goal Kicks
Please ensure that we follow the correct procedure for goal kicks.
1. The ball must clear the penalty area before it is in play.
2. Players from the defending team can be inside the penalty area.
3. Players from the attacking team must be outside the penalty area.
4. If the ball does not clear the penalty area the kick should be retaken.
5. The kicker cannot kick the ball twice unless it has touched another player outside the penalty area. If this happens an indirect kick is awarded to the opposing team. |
