The Oakville Soccer Club Advanced Development Program is a twice (three sessions if you include futsal in the winter or festival days in the summer) weekly training program for the club’s identified emerging talent between U8 and U12.
Junior ADP
The Junior ADP Program, for players U8-U10, who are residents of the Town of Oakville, selects participants who demonstrate an early affinity and passion for the game and helps them to develop the core skills necessary to potentially progress to the club’s Senior ADP, Rep Development Program and beyond.
Led by Technical Director Dino Lopez, the Junior ADP program consists of approximately 44 players per gender, per age group, selected on a try-out basis. The program is run by members of our professional coaching staff who have extensive experience working with children within the U8 – U10 age groups and helping them develop their natural talent and athleticism. Weekly futsal is a large part of the indoor training.
Players who are not accepted into the ADP program this year should consider enrolling in OSC’s Open Development Program, which covers the same topics over a 12-week period, but at a more appropriate skill level.
Senior ADP
Senior ADP has been created for players U11-U12. Although these are still the golden years of skill development, the skills players must exhibit are now slightly advanced and in the summer the players must be compete in a 9v9 environment where offside is introduced.
Led by Coach Development Manager Rafael Carbajal, Senior ADP puts a greater focus on the combination play and the principles of play, which are the core building blocks of actually how to play the game collectively and guide the player on how to apply the skills they have learned in Junior ADP.
