The Oakville Boys U14A team won their second pre-season tournament in convincing form at the Frank Sobil Classic in Oshawa on May 12 and 13.
A 1- 0 win against Ajax, followed by a 2- 0 victory against Georgetown filled the team with confidence as they went into their third early morning game on Sunday against Pickering. Oakville put three goals past their opponents to win 3 – 0. Oakville added to their impressive scoring record yet again, putting four goals in the Weston net, while conceding just one. The 4 – 1 victory lined the boys up for a place in the final against Mississauga Croatia. The Oakville offense stepped up their game, and the defense held strong, as the team produced their most convincing performance of the tournament with a 7 – 0 victory.
