The Oakville Soccer Club is sad to share the news the Nick Vetro, Youth House League and Special Programs Coordinator will be leaving OSC as of August 25th.
Nick played soccer with OSC throughout his childhood, and worked as a Client Services and Facilities staff before taking on the role of Youth House League and Special Programs Coordinator in 2016. Nick’s contributions to the Club have been significant, from helping to develop volunteer coaches and convenors to managing program staff to working hard to ensure that each and every player at the Club has had a positive soccer experience.
“Nick has been a great asset to the Oakville Soccer Club and his personality will be missed by all. We wish Nick all the best and hope that he coaches at OSC one day soon,” said Chris Grierson, OSC’s Senior Technical Director.
As Nick moves on to the next chapter of the career, we are pleased to announce to hiring of Leah Sherrett who will take over the role with the support of the Club’s Senior Technical Director Chris Grierson and the rest of the Technical staff. Leah brings her extensive knowledge of the House League program to the position and is excited about working with all our volunteer coaches and convenors as well as the membership of the Oakville Soccer Club.
OSC Executive Director Dave Harris stated: “We are sad to see Nick leave the organization but excited to see what the future holds for him. I know he will be successful in the next facet of his life.”
Please join us in wishing Nick all the very best in his future endeavours.
Thanks for all that you have done, Nick – you will be missed, but we know you won’t be a stranger!
