jb ps interview

Hello Players & Parents!

OSC is proud to announce its next guests for the Club's Interview Series on Facebook Live!
On Tuesday, June 2nd, OSC will be joined by Jimmy Brennan and Paul Stalteri! Both Brennan and Stalteri currently work with York9 of the Canadian Premier League, and both played on the Canadian National Team and with the English Premier League through their successful soccer careers.
Jimmy Brennan, currently the Head Coach and Technical Director of York9, started his soccer career in the GTA with Woodbridge before making his way overseas to England, where he made stops at Bristol City, Nottingham Forest, Norwich City and Southampton. After success overseas, Brennan came home, becoming the first player and captain of Toronto FC in franchise history. He was also the first Canadian to ever score for the Toronto MLS franchise. During his successful career, Brennan earned 49 caps for the Canadian National Team. Jimmy transitioned into coaching soon after, staying with Toronto FC before moving on to Aurora FC, and now York9, where he has been since 2018.
Paul Stalteri started his soccer journey in Mississauga, and played his way into the NCAA, where he attended Clemson University. After a year with the Tigers, Stalteri turned pro and signed with the Toronto Lynx. Due to strong play with Toronto, his contract was purchased by German side Werder Bremen, where he stayed for several years. After over 150 appearances for Werder Bremen, Stalteri made his debut in the EPL, playing for Tottenham. Throughout his career, Stalteri was a staple on the Canadian National Team, starting consistently for over 10 years with the team. His 84 caps was a national record which was only recently surpassed in 2015 by Julian De Guzman. Stalteri has since transitioned to coaching, and is now the First Assistant Coach with Brennan at York9.
Both Brennan and Stalteri have been inducted into the Canadian Soccer Hall of Fame, and have an amazing amount of insight and knowledge about the beautiful game. Make sure to tune in to learn more about their stories, York9, the CPL, and to ask questions!
We will see you then! #OSCSoccerAtHome
