Program Update - November 19, 2020

On Friday, November 13, 2020, the Region of Halton was moved to the red ‘Control’ level of the Province of Ontario’s COVID-19 framework.

On Wednesday, November 18th, OSC announced the Club had made the difficult decision to cancel programs until January 4, 2021.
OSC staff worked hard to assess all options that would solution that would be equitable for all teams and players while providing the positive soccer experience the Club commited to upon registration. Unfortunately with the volume of teams and players within the Club and limited resources due to mandate changes, the ultimate decision was to resume program in the new year. The Club is working on various strategies to ensure we are able to resume programming in January in line with the mandates that may be in place at the time. We understand that this is disappointing for our players; we share in that disappointment as we would certainly rather see teams on the field. We ask for your continued support throughout this difficult situation.

All ADP, OPDL, RDP, Active Oscars and Open Development Program registrations have received information about credits/refunds for their respective programs. If you did not receive the email sent on Wednesday, November 18th, please email info@oakvillesoccer.ca with your player's full name and program and the information will be forwarded to you.

OSC staff have designed an interim 4-week program in line with mandates in the red 'Control' level of the Province's framework that will be available to limited recreational age groups as well as ADP, OPDL and RDP players. This information will be availabile online on Thursday, November 19th for recreational players, and will be sent via TeamSnap to all ADP, OPDL and RDP players. Given the current mandates and resources available, limited spaces are available for these programs.

The Club will continue to monitor this situation closely and will provide an update regarding programming next week.

Any questions can be directed to info@oakvillesoccer.ca.

Again, we thank you for your continued support and patience during this time of uncertainty.

Stay safe and take good care.
