COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) Update - June 11, 2020

Oakville Soccer Club Members,

First and foremost, the staff and Board of the Oakville Soccer Club hopes that all members and their families are well and safe. While being away from family, friends and the activities we love is hard, it’s important that we all do whatever we can to keep ourselves and each other safe during this time.

At this time, OSC's Board and Staff continue to work diligently to provide solutions for this ever-changing and completely unprecedented situation. At this time, all OSC programs remain suspended.

Summer Programs
Due to the current circumstances, OSC has made the difficult decision to cancel the following 2020 Summer programs:

- Youth Summer House League
- Youth Summer Ultimate House League
- Summer Open Development Program
- Oakville Wild Summer Soccer Camps
- Li'l Oscars - Spring & Summer Sessions
- Breaking Barriers Summer Session

The Club is actively exploring revised program and camp/child-care offerings for the Summer, and will make this information available to members as soon as we are able to put a plan into place.

At this time, the 2020 ADP, OPDL and RDP Summer seasons have not been cancelled. Ontario Soccer, Districts and Clubs are still working to develop Return to Training/Play plans that facilitate a safe return to the field. As of now Ontario Soccer has submitted their Return to Play plan to Canada Soccer. Canada Soccer and government officials will work together until an agreed upon plan is in place, at which point we will await a decision from the government regarding when youth sports are permitted to resume.

While it is deeply disappointing that we will not be able to enjoy the sport of soccer together as soon as we would like, please be reminded that the Club is still here to support you, our valued membership. We will continue to share resources to allow you to fine-tune your skills until we can play the beautiful game together again. OSC's Staff and Board of Directors will continue our efforts to provide a positive soccer experience now and well into the future. We will get through this difficult time as a Club and a community.

Please visit us on our website and on our social media pages for activities, information, games and more. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact info@oakvillesoccer.ca

Thank you again for your continued support of the Oakville Soccer Club, and your understanding and patience during this uncertain time.

We are confident that we will get through this together and we look forward to seeing you all on the field again soon!

Stay well and safe.
