Oakville Wild's GU13B Score Second Consecutive Tournament Win in Ottawa

Oakville Wild's Girls U13B team packed their bags and headed to our nation's capital on September 9th and 10th to compete in the Kick'n in the Captial Tournament. With their enthusiasm still in high gear from their mid-August tournament win in Michigan, the girls took the field ready to make it two tournament championships in a row.

Playing in an 8-team division, the girls made quick work of the round robin games. Starting with a 1-1 draw against Ottawa City Soccer Club T1 Giamberardino, the girls then kicked it into high gear for an 8-0 victory over Ottawa South United Force White T1. Game 3 saw another win over Unionville Milliken SC  (7-0), and game 4 finished the round robin games with a 2-2 draw against Gloucester Hornets T1.

The girls then advanced to the semi-final game against Ottawa Internationals Soccer Club T1 - Chislett and earned themselves a 3-1 victory to head to the finals.

Up against their strong opponents from the first game of the tournament, the Wild took the field with OCSC T1 Giamberardino again to battle for the top spot. In a nail biting game that kept spectators at the edge of their seats, OSC's girls played hard until the end, scoring the tiebreaking goal as the final whistle was blown to win 3-2 and take the division championship!

Congratulations to all players, coaches, team officials and parents on a fantastic showing and on their second straight tournament win!
