Wild's GU14C Team Cap Off Fantastic Season With Tournament Win

The Oakville Wild's Girls U14C team added to their already impressive season with a championship win at the HEADS Up! Cup on September 24th.

After two wins in the opening round (4-0 and 3-0), the girls headed to the semi-final game against Darlington where they kept their momentum with another 3-0 win. In the extreme heat, the girls took the field in the final against Guelph and finished their clean sheet tournament streak with a 2-0 win to become the tournament champions.

This tournament win was the icing on the cake of a fantastic summer season for these young ladies.

The girls were finalists in the League Cup, with wins against North Mississauga, Clarkson and Mississauga Croatia before taking a tough 1-0 loss to Milton in the final game.

With a 9 win, 4 loss and 3 draw record for the season, the girls beat Mississauga Croatia in the final becoming the 2017 PHDL First Division Champions. With 44 goals for and only 19 against for the whole season, the girls finished with a differential of +25 - more than double the next best differential.

Congratulations to the players, coaches, team officials and parents of the Oakville Wild's Girls U14C team on a fantastic season!
