Oakvile Wild's BU14C Team Wins the Richmond Hill Challenge Cup!

Last weekend, OSC's Boys U14C team headed to the Richmond Hill Challenge Cup to participate in their final tournament of the season. After four trips to the finals and one championship win in prior tournaments throughout the summer, the boys were ready to cap off their season with another victory.

The Wild make quick work of the group stage, winning games against the Innisfil Stampeders (2-0), UMSC (5-0) and Vaughan Azzurri (4-0). With three clean sheets under their belts, the boys advanced to the semi-final match against the tournament hosts, the Richmond Hill Raiders. In a tense see-saw battle, the Wild prevailed in regular time with a 3-2 win and headed to the finals.

In unseasonable warm weather, the boys took the field in the championship game against the Oak Ridges Knights. With a firm 3-0 lead at the half, the boys added two more goals in the second for an enthusiastic 5-0 victory to win their divison.

Throughout the tournament, the boys scored 19 goals while conceding only 2. Once again, the BU14C team displayed skill, dignity and excellent sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Way to go, boys!

Congratulations to all players, coaches, team officials and parents! We're extremely proud of you!
