Oakville Wild's GU14B Team Wins Championship in New York

On July 13th, OSC's Girls U14B team hit the road and headed to Rochester, New York to play in the 28th Annual Cobras FC Summer Classic & College Showcase. 

The girls took the field and beat the heat (42 degrees celcius with the humidex) and the competition with a 2-1 win over STN NorthPenn from Pennsylvania, a 4-2 win over Fustion SC from New York, a 1-1 tie against the hosts Cobras FC from Rochester and a 2-1 victory in the final against STN NorthPenn to take the championship!

The girls played extremely well and exhibited excellent sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Congratulations to players, coaches, team officials and parents on a fantastic tournament! Way to go, ladies!

Oakville Wild's Girls U13C Team Takes Championship at Ancaster Tournament

Congraulations to OSC's Girls U13C team on their championship win at the Ancaster Heritage Days Tournament on June 2nd and 3rd!

After training hard since last Fall, the girls arrived at the tournament feeling excited and ready to take the pitch against some excellent competitive teams from across Ontario and Quebec. 

In the group stage, the girls started strong with a 2-0 win over KSC and a 0-0 draw agaice LaSalle. During Sunday's games, the girls tied 1-1 against Caboto and locked up a 2-0 win over Waterloo.

The girls took the field in the final, facing tough opponents Caboto once again. After a very intense and exciting game that was deadlocked in a tie at the end of regulation time, the girls were on the ball during pentaly kicks and took the victory to become the champions in their division!

Congratulations to the players, coaches, team officals and parents on a fantastic showing! The girls played fantastic soccer, and displayed excellent sportsmanship through the whole tournament. Way to go, ladies!

Girls U14C Team Places Second at Barrie Spirit Fest

A big shout out to OSC's Girls U14C team on their second place finish at the Barrie Spirit Fest soccer tournament on June 9th and 10th.

The girls won all of their qualifying matches and played a fantastic game against SOO City in the final which ended in pentaly shots in favour of the opponent. The girls played with determination and focus and displayed excellent sportsmanship.

Oakville Wild's U14C Team Takes Top Spot at Ancaster Tournament

Hot on the heels of their second place finish at the HEADS Up! Cup Tournament the weekend before, the boys took the pitch at the Ancaster Heritage Days Tournament on June 2 & 3 to defend their championship title from 2017.

The team topped their group in the group stage with a 6-0 win against Mount Hamilton, a 0-0 draw against the Weston Wolves and a 4-0 victory against Niagara Falls. 

In an extremely well played semi-final game, the Wild defeated FEDS United 3-0 and booked their ticket to the finals.

Up against Niagara Falls in the championship match, OSC stepped onto the field in the rain and asserted themselves quickly, establishing a lead just six minutes into the game. Up against a tough defence, the boys continued to play with determination and were able to score another goal with three minutes left on the clock. When the final whistle blew, the Oakville Wild celebrated their 2-0 win and proudly held onto their spots as tournament champions for the second year in a row.

Oakville Wild's Girls U13B Team Brings Home Silver From Ohio

OSC's Girls U13B team had a fantastic showing at the Ceder Point Coaster Classic Tournament in Sandusky, Ohio from June 1-3.

The girls started out with a 2-0 win against Club X United, claimed a 5-0 victory against Appleseed Premier and locked up a 1-0 win over Legends MAFC to secure their spot in the finals.

In the championship game against Mahoning Valley Select, the girls came out fighting, scoring first and holding onto a tie until well into the second half. The Oakville Wild Girls played a fantastic game, which ended in a 2-1 win for the Mahoning Valley and landed a silver medal finish for OSC.

Congratulations to the players, coaches, team officials and parents on a fantastic tournament. OSC is very proud of how the Girls U13B team played with determination and poise and represented the Club and Canada so well!

Oakville Wild's Boys U14C Team Finishes Second at HEADS Up Cup

The Oakville Wild's Boys U14C team played some excellent soccer on May 26th and 27th at the HEADS Up Cup in Hillsburgh, Ontario!

After a 3-1 win against Owen Sound, a 1-1 draw against the Weston Wolves and a 10-0 victory over Athletico, the boys headed to the semi-finals against Ancaster. In a hard-fought game, the Wild found themselves tied 2-2 at the half. Coming back strong in the second, the boys ended the game 4-3 to advance to the finals.

Facing a strong Weston Wolves team in the final, neither team budged in the first, ending the half 0-0. Despite Oakville's strong efforts in the second, the game finished 2-0 for the Wolves landing the Wild in the runner-up position.
