Oakville Wild's GU16C Team Take Top Spot in Hillsburgh

OSC's Girls U16C team travelled to Hillsburgh, Ontario on the weekend of September 23 to participate in the 5th annual HEADS Up! Cup.

The Oakville Wild hit the ground running, taking a 3-1 win against Bolton FC, and quickly secured a second rank in round robin play after defeating a strong East York team 1-0. After besting the host team 1-0 by scoring a golden goal early in extra time, it was off to the semi-finals. Up against SC Toronto, the girls took a decisive 3-0 win and were off the the finals.

After being defeated in 2016 by Georgetown in the finals, the girls were eager for a rematch when they found out they would face them once again. After a hard fought battle in the extreme heat, the girls never back down and emerged the HEADS Up! Cup champions!

OSC's Girls U16B Team Win Cup & League Championships

The Oakville Wild's Girls U16B team successfully defended their 2016 PHDL Premier League & League Cup titles by winning both again in 2017.

After a fantastic season, the girls clinched 1st in the Leauge standings with three games to spare, and finished the season with a record of 14-0-2.

In League Cup action the girls won the Cup with a convincing 3-0 win over Clarkson in the fnal. 

Throughout League and Cup play, the girls scored 63 goals, only allowed 9 goals and had 10 clean sheets. The girls also took the championship at the Ambassador Cup tournament in early July.

Oakville Wild Boys U16C Team Win League Championship

After a solid season in the PHDL First Divison with 12 wins, 1 tie and 1 loss, the Oakville Wild's Boys U16C team found themselves facing off against Dixie to compete for the League Championship.

The boys played a strong, united and well orchestrated game, finishing the first half with a 3-0 lead. Heading into the second half with the win in sight, one more goal sealed the deal and the boys won 4-0, emerging as the First Division champs.

With three tournament victories earlier in the season, securing the PHDL First Division League Championship was the cherry on top of a fantastic season.

Oakville Wild BU13C Team Wins PHDL First Division League Championship

The Oakville Wild Boys U13C team wrapped up a very impressive and successful season this week to win 1st place and take the PHDL First Division League Championship title.

The boys topped the standings with 14 wins and 1 loss. Throughout the season they scored a whopping 120 goals and conceded only 10. The boys were unsurpassable in the standings with two games left in the season. 

All team members showed dedication, determination, camaraderie and excellent sportsmanship both on and off the field throughout the entire season.

Oakville Wild's GU13B Score Second Consecutive Tournament Win in Ottawa

Oakville Wild's Girls U13B team packed their bags and headed to our nation's capital on September 9th and 10th to compete in the Kick'n in the Captial Tournament. With their enthusiasm still in high gear from their mid-August tournament win in Michigan, the girls took the field ready to make it two tournament championships in a row.

Playing in an 8-team division, the girls made quick work of the round robin games. Starting with a 1-1 draw against Ottawa City Soccer Club T1 Giamberardino, the girls then kicked it into high gear for an 8-0 victory over Ottawa South United Force White T1. Game 3 saw another win over Unionville Milliken SC  (7-0), and game 4 finished the round robin games with a 2-2 draw against Gloucester Hornets T1.

The girls then advanced to the semi-final game against Ottawa Internationals Soccer Club T1 - Chislett and earned themselves a 3-1 victory to head to the finals.

Up against their strong opponents from the first game of the tournament, the Wild took the field with OCSC T1 Giamberardino again to battle for the top spot. In a nail biting game that kept spectators at the edge of their seats, OSC's girls played hard until the end, scoring the tiebreaking goal as the final whistle was blown to win 3-2 and take the division championship!

Oakville Wild's BU15A Team Take First at London Tournament

On the Labour Day weekend, OSC's Boys U15A team travelled to London, Ontario to compete in the 39th Annal John Henderson Soccer Tournament.

The boys swept the preliminary games in a competitive U15/U16 Divison, winning 1-0 against LAC Spartans, 3-0 against London Croatia U16 and 3-0 against Tilsonburg.

Feeling good with three clean sheeets heading into the semi-final against Dixie Athletics, the Wild scored an early goal to set the tone, and held on to the lead all the way through the second half for the win.

Up against Supernova FC U16 in the final, the Wild stayed focused and played with determanation. After a scoreless first half, the Wild put one in the net in the second half and held on to the lead until the end of the game to take the win and top spot in the division.
