HOUSE LEAGUE PROGRAMS (U4 - U18)
Active Start – Ages U4 & U5
The Summer Outdoor U4 & U5 Active Start Program begins in mid-May and runs once a week for 12 weeks. U4/U5 teams will work with their volunteer coach and a designated OSC Facilitator, participating in fun games and activities designed to improve their physical literacy. All players participate in an end-of-season Festival Day with fun games and activities provided by OSC and corporate partners. Each player will receive a medal/trophy to celebrate the season. FUNdamentals – Ages U6
The Summer Outdoor U6 program begins in mid-May and runs once a week for 12 weeks. U6 teams will work with their volunteer coach and will continue to hone their physical literacy skills while playing soccer games and activities with the support of a Game Leader. All players participate in an end-of-season Festival Day with fun games and activities provided by OSC and corporate partners. Each player will receive a medal/trophy to celebrate the season. FUNdamentals U7-U8
The Summer Outdoor U7 – U8 Youth House League programs begin in mid-May and runs for 14 weeks. Players will participate in one scheduled game per week. Game Leaders will facilitate the game under the OSA Game Leader guidelines. Teams will work with a volunteer coach on individual development and become familiar with the rules of the game. All teams participate in an end-of-season Festival Day in which they play their last game, receive their medal/trophy and celebrate the season with fun games and activities provided by OSC and corporate partners.
Learn to Train U9-U12
The Summer Outdoor U9-U12 Youth House League programs begin in mid-May and runs for 14 weeks. Players will participate in one scheduled game per week. Match Officials are introduced at the U9 age group and will follow OSA small sided game rules. Teams work with a volunteer coach on individual development and become familiar with the rules of the game. All teams will participate in an end-of-season Festival Day in which they play their last game, receive their medal/trophy and celebrate the season with fun games and activities provided by OSC and corporate partners.
Soccer for Life (U13 - U18)
The Summer Outdoor U13 – U18 Youth House League program begins in mid-may and runs for 14 weeks. Teams participate in one scheduled, refereed game per week. At this level participants are encouraged to develop their existing skills and build new skills while enjoying the social and team building aspect of the game. All teams will participate in the INARIA Cup Tournament where each team will be guaranteed three games and have the chance to advance to the championship game in their age group! The 2018 INARIA Cup Tournament will be held on July 14 & July 15, 2018.
Please note that U13 – U18 Volunteer Coaches have been mandated by the Ontario Soccer Association to complete the Respect in Sport Certificate. As part of OSC's commitment to the development of its volunteer coaches, the Oakville Soccer Club will reimburse the head coach of each team once the certificate has been achieved and submitted to OSC. If you have already completed the course for another sport organization, please submit a copy of your certificate to Nick Vetro, the Youth House League & Special Programs Coordinator.
