OSC’s Youth Summer Outdoor Season registration opens annually in January.
OSC’s Youth Fall/Winter Indoor Season registration opens annually in July.
Please register early to avoid waitlists.
What is the registration process?
There are two ways to register:
- New players must register in person at the Pine Glen Soccer Centre (1520 Pine Glen Road) and provide proof of age. This can be any government issued piece of identification.
- Online registration is available for returning players and can be completed by clicking here. As a returning player, registration can also be completed in person at the Pine Glen Soccer Centre.
The volunteer coach will contact parents at least one week prior to their first scheduled game. Please make sure your contact information is up to date and correct when registration is completed.
One week prior to the beginning of the season, parents will also be able to see their child's team name and coach’s name by logging into their Oakville Soccer account and going to page 3/6.
If the coach has not yet made contact one week prior to the first game, please contact the Oakville Soccer Club at 905-849-4436 ext. 4440. If the line is busy, please leave a message, and you will be contacted as soon as possible.
When is the deadline for registration?
Please refer to the specific program's website page for registration deadlines. If the deadline has passed, please contact the Club as soon as possible at 905-849-4436 ext. 4440 to check availability.
What equipment is required?
Youth Summer Outdoor Season – House League Program: Players will be provided with one (1) jersey, one (1) pair of shorts and one (1) pair of socks.
Youth Summer Outdoor Season - Ultimate House League: Players will be provided with one (1) game jersey, one (1) practice jersey, one (1) pair of shorts and one (1) pair of socks
Fall/Winter Indoor Season: Players will receive one (1) game jersey and must provide their own shorts and socks.
Shin guards are mandatory at all ages (including goalkeepers).
Footwear: Soccer cleats are recommended for both indoor and outdoor play for safety reasons, however running shoes are acceptable. Open toed shoes and sandals are not permitted.
Jewelry: No jewelry of any kind is permitted.
What age group will my child play in?
At OSC, players are divided into age groups structured around their year of birth, not their grade in school. The "U" designation refers to an age group (ex. U4 age group are children born in 2015). Age group’s changeover at the beginning of the Fall Season and continue through to the next Summer Season. For example, if a player is in the U4 age group for the 2019 Summer Season they will move into the U5 age group in the 2019 Fall Season.

Fall/Winter Indoor - During the Fall/Winter Indoor seasons, OSC is unable to accommodate friend requests to ensure balanced teams.
Summer Outdoor - OSC strives to ensure balanced teams for the enjoyment of all players involved. As such, OSC is unable to guarantee requests will be fulfilled, but every effort will be made to accommodate all requests.
Please submit friend requests for the 2019 Youth Summer Outdoor season to email@example.com by Wednesday, April 24, 2019. Player requests will not be accommodated after this date. Please ensure that the players are registered in the same age group and play on the same day. Please include the first and last name of both players and ensure that the names are spelled correctly.
How are teams formed?
U4-U12 House League teams are formed by Convenors, whose main goal is to ensure balanced teams throughout each division. Convenors utilize evaluations of players given by former coaches in order to disperse the players evenly.
U13-U18 teams are formed through a Blind Draft process each season which sees coaches and convenors work together to make fair and balanced teams.
What do we bring to the game?
The player should arrive in their complete uniform. Players are reminded it is important to bring plenty of water to the game regardless of the weather/indoor or outdoor play. Don’t forget your sunscreen and insect repellent when playing outdoors!
Parents can help their child's team in several ways throughout the season, including coaching, assistant coaching, and/or managing. Each team is required to have a coach and an assistant coach is also recommended. In addition, a parent can also volunteer as a team manager to schedule snacks, orange slices and take charge of the end-of-season party (if applicable).

What do we do if it is raining for our game during the Summer Outdoor Season?
Please proceed to your game - all soccer games are played in the rain. Referees (for U7+) or Field Ambassadors can make a decision to cancel games at the field at game time. If fields are closed by the Town of Oakville, OSC will notify coaches and publish updates on OSC's website and social media platforms.
In order to ensure a fair distribution of time across fields, players/parents may not request a game time.
Parents/Players may not request which field a team plays on. Fields are scheduled based on availability and field size. As such, the field closest to a player's home may not be allocated for the player’s age group.
All Indoor games are played at the Pine Glen Soccer Centre.
