The Oakville Soccer Club is proud to announce the 2019 Fall session of the Breaking Barriers Program. Designed for participants between the ages of U5-U15 with intellectual and/or physical disabilities, this program is facilitated by OSC’s qualified and energetic staff and dedicated volunteers.
Breaking Barriers will introduce participants to the fundamentals of physical literacy and the sport of soccer. Players will enjoy a comfortable and inclusive environment and will be able to learn and engage at their own pace while making new friends.
Breaking Barriers 2019 Fall Session

Program Day & Time: Fridays - 6:00 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.
Program Session: September 20 - December 13 - Exception Date: October 11
Location: Pine Glen Soccer Centre – 1520 Pine Glen Road, Oakville, ON L6M 4P4 (Indoor Field)
Ages: U5 - U15 (2015 - 2004 birth years)
Equipment: All participants will be provided with a jersey, shorts and socks. Participants must wear appropriate footwear (running shoes, turf shoes or soccer cleats) and are required to wear shin pads at all times. Footwear and shin pads are not provided by the Oakville Soccer Club.
Accompaniment: Each participant must have a parent/guardian/caregiver present for the duration of each session to ensure their comfort. Parents are not required to engage in program, but are encouraged to provide support to their participant when necessary to encourage their engagement and comfort in the program.
Please return the completed Breaking Barriers Registration Form to Katryna Indewey by email at email@example.com or in person at the Pine Glen Soccer Centre located at 1520 Pine Glen Road, Oakville. If your child is a first time registrant with the Oakville Soccer Club, a copy of a document supporting proof of age of the participant is required (birth certificate, passport, etc.).
Once your registration has been completed, you will be contacted with payment options.

Refunds requested on or before Friday, September 6, 2019 will be subject to a $35.00 administrative fee.

Volunteering with the Breaking Barriers Program
Are you interested in being a part of an incredible program that makes a difference in children's lives? If yes, then volunteer your time as a Breaking Barriers Coach!
If you are passionate about physical literacy and working with youth with intellectual and/or physical disabilities, this is the role for you. Volunteer coaches are expected to be responsible, positive, supportive, engaging and outgoing to ensure that participants are having fun while being safe at all times.
Volunteer coaches should be available Friday evenings from 5:45 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.. for the full Breaking Barriers Fall term.
