The Oakville Soccer Club, in partnership with Toronto FC is offering Home Game tickets to see Canada’s premier professional soccer team. This wonderful opportunity is available to all existing Oakville Soccer Club members.

For the benefit of our parents and members, we’ve put together a list of FAQs regarding the 2010 House League Player Draft.

Q.      Does my child need to show up to the Player Draft? Who should attend?

A.     The Player Draft is only for the selected Red Level Coaches as they will be picking Red Division players for their teams. No players are to attend the draft.  The players involved in the Draft have already been selected for the Red Division by the OSC Staff Coaches based on the evaluations from the 2009 Outdoor Season.

Q.    Are there now Red and White Divisions for U15 to U18 if there is a Player Draft for these ages?

A.     While there is a Player Draft for U15/16 and U17/18, there will not be Red and White Divisions for these age groups. These age groups continue to be combined age groups, U15/16 and U17/18.  This Draft will take place in the middle of April. Information will be provided shortly.

The Oakville Soccer Club (OSC) is proud to announce the launch of a Draft selection process for the 2010 Outdoor Season for ages U8 to U18. The Draft is being implemented to ensure each house league player is able to play in an environment best suited for their age, skill and development needs, and that all Red and White Division teams are well balanced. There are several stages in the Draft and variations of the process have been incorporated at certain age levels to ensure success. Full details on the Draft are provided in the reference document. White Division teams will be selected and balanced by the OSC Staff Coaches and Convenors. In the Red Division, there will be a new Draft process comprised of three parts:

1. Initial Draft
2. Player Combine
3. Scouting and OSC Staff Coach Overview

Registration hours:   Monday to Friday:   9:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
                                     Saturday & Sunday:  8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.

New members, please remember to bring a piece of identification with you.

OSC HOUSELEAGUE GOALKEEPER SESSIONS:

The Oakville Soccer Club is pleased to offer clinics for our House League goalkeepers. These clinics will be held during selected weeks of our OSC Summer Camps.

The sessions run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Players have the option of joining in our Summer Camp in the afternoon for an additional fee. Pre and Post-Care is available.

SENIOR/JUNIOR BOYS & VARSITY GIRLS TOURNAMENT

TOURNAMENT NOTES:

• Full Field (11 v 11)
• 3 Games Guaranteed (6 teams max per tournament date)
• 40 minute games, Referee included
• One day tournament, prizes awarded for 1st and 2nd place
• Earliest game at 8:00am, Tournament Final game at 3:45 latest
• $300 Tournament Entry Fee

Instruction Provided by World Class Official Pro Club Academy Coaches

In association with Inside Soccer and hosted by the Oakville Soccer Club, we offer teams the opportunity to receive instruction from world class coaches affiliated with prestigious clubs such as Real Madrid, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Valencia, Sporting Lisbon and others.

Dates:  Session 1: July 12 - 16
              Session 2: July 19 - 23

Time:    9:00 a.m. – 12 p.m. (3hrs) or
              1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (3hrs)

Open to:  All U10+ Rep teams

Cost:  OSC member - $300/player
            Non-OSC member - $400/player
