pROGRAM lEADS
Leah Sherrett
Program lead Leah Sherrett grew up in Oakville and has played soccer all her life; from house league to university and now as an adult (and everything in between). Before she started working for the Oakville Soccer Club in 2017, Leah was an elementary school teacher in Australia where she founded and ran a non-profit after school sports program so that all children were afforded the same opportunity to have fun, stay healthy, and remain engaged in sport! Now, as both a coach and as OSC’s Recreational Programs Manager, Leah has made it her mission to foster a love of soccer in young girls by offering engaging and inclusive programming, but her number one goal has always been to get more women and girls into leadership & mentorship positions, whether it be in the classroom or on the field! She can be contacted directly at lsherrett@oakvillesoccer.ca.
Tayler Kleine Hermelink
Tayler Kleine Hermelink has been a dedicated member of the Oakville Soccer Club since she was four years old, playing competitively for the Club since she was 10. Over the years, her passion for the sport has evolved from player to coach, thus beginning her coaching journey at just 13. Tayler started volunteering with various OSC programs such as the Skill Development Program (SDP), Active Start, and Lil Oscars – where she ultimately fostered her love for teaching the game. In the last three years, she transitioned into coaching at a competitive level, and she is currently one of the coaches for the Girls U10 ADP team. Tayler holds her C License and is deeply committed to creating a positive and growth-oriented environment for young athletes and is excited to be a part of the Telus She CAN Coach Program. With a strong foundation in both playing and coaching, Tayler is passionate about mentoring the next generation of soccer players and giving back to the sport that has shaped her life. She can be contacted directly at taylerkh@oakvillesoccer.ca.
