Oakville Soccer Club’s AGM and Volunteer Celebration

The Oakville Soccer Club was proud to host its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast on Saturday, February 7th. Members gathered for a morning of key updates, including the launch of OSC’s 2026-28 Strategic Plan, and a celebration honouring the volunteers whose contributions make OSC such a special place.

Guest speakers, including Mayor Rob Burton, MP Sima Acan, Elizabeth Chalmers (on behalf of MP Anita Anand), Ontario Soccer CEO Johnny Misley, and Oakville Soccer Club President Imdad Ali,  praised the Club and it’s volunteers, while speaking to large upcoming events and areas of significance for OSC.

Executive Director Katryna Indewey took time to update the membership on Strategic progress, reviewing the final year of the 2023 – 2025 plan. Following this update, Katryna introduced OSC’s next plan, which will lead the Club’s strategic vision from 2026 – 2028.

During the AGM, Club Secretary Chris Warren was re-elected for his second term on the Club’s Board of Directors, and new Directors Frances Hinojosa and Paul Lehmann were elected, filling the vacancies left by Imdad Ali and Shane Gonsalves. We welcome these new directors to the board, and sincerely thank the outgoing directors for their years of service and dedication to OSC.

The Volunteer Celebration recognized stand-out volunteers with awards, including Young Volunteers of the Year Ava Ettore and James Babel, as well as Competitive Coaches of the Year: Damian Koscielniak (Male Team) and Justin Silveira (Female Team). Ed Calicchia was honored as Manager of the year, with Marie-Agnès Hersi named Volunteer of the Year, and Richard Bowden as the recipient of the President’s Award.
