Last weekend, the Oakville Soccer Club opened its doors as the Fall Indoor Season officially kicked off!
The Club was overjoyed to welcome both new and returning players who chose Oakville Soccer Club as their home for the Fall Indoor Season. With more than 2,000 players registered, 150+ teams, and 200+ coaches, this season is shaping up to be one like no other.
Beyond the numbers, OSC remains focused on engaging with its community and creating a positive soccer experience for every player. As parents and players arrived for their first sessions to meet their coaches and put on their new jerseys, OSC staff were there to help make the first day as smooth as possible. Overall, the kick-off went fantastic, with families filling the sidelines, cheering on their players and enjoying the action on the field.
All of Oakville Soccer’s indoor recreational programming takes place at the Pine Glen Soccer Centre (1520 Pine Glen Road, Oakville) – most of which runs during the weekend. The building provides the perfect indoor environment, featuring a FIFA sized turf field, year-round heating and cooling, and wheelchair accessibility.
Recreational Program Manager Leah Sherett reflected on the launch, saying, “It was a fantastic start filled with smiles, teamwork, and lots of fun. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the season brings!”
Seeing parents, players, coaches, and staff all coming together is a reminder of just how impactful soccer is within the community. The energy and engagement from everyone involved shows just how important the sport is to so many people, and why OSC is proud to be a soccer home for thousands of players throughout the year.
A big thank you to everyone who helps makes this season possible each week. The club wouldn’t run without it’s players, parents, volunteers, referees, coaches, staff, and supporters who make each kick-off happen!
