Big News at OSC: A Bold New Chapter for the Club!

News

At Oakville Soccer Club, we’re always looking for ways to grow, evolve, and provide the best possible experience for our players. With that in mind, we’re making an exciting change to our leadership structure that will set us up for even more success in the future.

As our club continues to expand, we’ve decided to make a big move—longtime and dedicated OSC Technical Director Chris Grierson will be transitioning into the role of Director of Grassroots Programs. Chris made this decision because he knows how crucial it is to nurture the foundation of the game—the love of soccer. From house league to ADP, this role will ensure that every player’s journey starts with a solid, passionate foundation, and that love for the game remains at the heart of everything we do.

To support both our grassroots and competitive programs, we’ll also begin the search for a Director of Competitive Programs. This new position will work closely the Director of Grassroots Programs to ensure there are clear pathways for players to succeed and progress through OSC. Chris will continue to oversee both the grassroots and competitive programs until the new Director of Competitive Programs is in place, ensuring a smooth transition. Once settled, these peer roles will work together to ensure the best possible playing experience for all members of the Club.

Chris Grierson shared: “This move is about focusing on what matters most—the grassroots side of the game, where everything begins. It’s the heart and soul of the club, and it’s where I believe I can have the biggest impact. Whether players go on to competitive soccer, play for life, become referees or coaches, or just stay true to the sport as fans, it all comes down to the love of the game. I’m excited to take this role because I know how powerful that foundation is, and I’m committed to growing and strengthening it—along with our coaches, who play such an important role in bringing this vision to life.”

Katryna Indewey, Executive Director, added: “This move allows us to stay agile and focused on the next stage of OSC’s growth. We’re not just about keeping up with our size; we’re about thriving and making sure that recreational, development and competitive programs have the focus and oversight they deserve. This is about doing what’s best for every single player and ensuring that they have every opportunity to succeed.”

This is an exciting time for Oakville Soccer, and we can’t wait to see the impact these changes will have. Stay tuned as we begin the search for our new Director of Competitive Programs and join us in celebrating this next chapter for Chris and OSC!
