Join Our Team: Shape the Future of OSC!
The Oakville Soccer Club is a thriving not-for-profit organization committed to providing top-quality soccer experiences to our community. We are currently seeking dedicated and skilled individuals to serve on our volunteer Board of Directors, contributing their expertise to help steer our club’s future. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in the governance of our organization, ensuring its continued growth and success.
What is a Governance Board?
A Governance Board, in the context of the Oakville Soccer Club, is a volunteer, strategic and policy-setting body responsible for providing overarching guidance and oversight to the organization. Its primary role is to establish and monitor the high-level objectives, policies, and mission alignment of the Club. Importantly, the Governance Board does not engage in the day-to-day operational activities, personnel matters, or individual team-related decisions, including coaching assignments or player placements. Instead, it focuses on ensuring the long-term success, financial sustainability, and ethical conduct of the Club, safeguarding its commitment to its mission and values. The Governance Board’s primary objective is to maintain the Club’s strategic course and foster its overall development.
